Meta-blog posts usually are boring

And this one’s no exception, I’m sure.

Anyway, my blog groove has been gone for a while. I keep trying to get it back, but it’s not particularly easy. This post by Fred Stutzman on social software illustrates a lot of the reasons why, I think: the mixing of public and private personas is hard, especially when you’re kind of sensitive to public perceptions of you.

So, what up, then? My posts here are obviously gone, and they aren’t coming back. I’ve made a couple of recent posts about being married that I really liked, so I’ve moved them to a new blog - a tumblelog, actually, which is a fun word to say - and I’m not going to hide it or anything, but it’s just not going to be that public or have comments. If you read this blog, and you want to keep following me in the hopes I’ll post more often, shoot me an email or a direct message on Twitter and say hello.
